I’m Kim, and if you are new to my blog, welcome! I am so glad you are here, and hope you become a regular at the Charming Homes & Gardens party, and to Shiplap and Shells!

My blog is all about my home, garden and life in the PNW. I live in a beach cottage on the Puget Sound with my husband and pups, Lucy and Jax. We have spent the last 8 years, renovating, improving and adding character and charm to our 100 year-old cottage.

THIS WEEK ON SHIPLAP AND SHELLS

We had another incredible week of inspiration here at Charming Homes and Gardens! I hope you’re having a great week. We are on week 2 of our boat trip around the beautiful Puget Sound. I am working on a fun blog post with lots of gorgeous PNW pictures of the water views, wildlife and my purchases made at amazing shops along the way. I miss my home and garden, but am really enjoying the peace and amazing beauty that we are experiencing out on the water.

MY COTTAGE GARDEN YEAR IN REVIEW

Now that the fall season has arrived, I’m sharing my cottage garden year in review, from seasonal transitions to my favorite garden pictures.

CREATING A FALL TABLESCAPE WITH HERB, HYDRANGEAS AND MORE

Creating tablescapes are the thing to do when it comes to celebrating the fall season. Take a look at how I took some fresh herbs and dried hydrangeas, mixed in with a few zinnias and pinecones, to create this fall tablescape.

Thank you Debra. We are having the best time with one now week to go. The shopping has been great, but my glasses always get so foggy with wearing a mask.

Thanks for the party. We dropped my son off at college in Oregon last week and I so enjoyed the Fall weather up there. It was beautiful. Now I’m back in California where it’s sweltering heat and hazy from more fires. 😔.

I’m so glad you were able to spend some time in Oregon. I’m just so heartbroken for those that are still dealing with the fires. We have gotten some of the smoke again. Can’t even imagine what everyone’s going through. And I imagine your ready for some cooler temps.
