Privacy Policy

Who We Are

Shiplap and Shells is a personal blog that is written and operated by Kim Robinson, the sole owner of the Shiplap and Shells blog. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Shiplap and Shells.

This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect from you via the Site and how we use and disclose such information.

All statements, views, and opinions are my own.

Affiliate Programs and Sponsorships

To support the costs of running this blog, I sometimes receive compensation to provide opinions on products, services, websites, and more.

Amazon Affiliate and Influencer Program

Shiplap and Shells is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates & Influencer Program which is an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com.

This allows me to earn a small commission by linking products to Amazon.com. When a user clicks on an Amazon affiliate link and buys something, I earn a commission. Thus, as an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. There is no impact on the product cost and does not result in any additional charges or fees to the buyer.

While I may include affiliate links in my blog posts, it is important to note that all opinions are my own and I will never recommend a product that I do not believe in or have not used myself.

Affiliate & Sponsorship Disclaimer

The Shiplap and Shells blog features affiliate links, by embedding tracking links into the website. If you click on a link for an affiliate partnership, a cookie will be placed on your browser to track any sales for purposes of the retailer paying me a small commission. This will not result in an additional charge to you or cost you anything extra.

I am sometimes compensated to provide opinions on products, services, websites, and various other topics. Even though I sometimes receive compensation for posts or advertisements, I always give my honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences on those topics or products. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own. Any product claim, statistic, quote, or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider, or party in question.

Re-Targeting Ads

From time to time, this Website may engage in remarketing efforts with third-party companies, such as Google, Facebook, or Instagram, in order to market the Website. These companies use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to the Website.

I am not responsible for the quality, accuracy, timeliness, reliability, or any other aspect of these products and services. In addition, a merchant will likely have privacy and data collection practices that are different from mine. If you make a purchase from a merchant on their site or on a site that I have posted a link to, the information obtained during your visit to that merchant’s online store or site, and the information that you give as part of the transaction, such as your name, e-mail address, street address, telephone number, and credit card number, may be collected from the merchant and myself. For more information regarding a merchant, its online store, its privacy policies, and/or any additional terms and conditions that may apply, visit that merchant’s website and click on its information links or contact the merchant directly.
