Random Thoughts

1 – Is anyone celebrating National Kahlua Day today? Better question…did anyone even know it was National Kahlua Day today?

2 – It’s going to be a sunny Saturday today. We don’t get many of those, so I’m extra happy today. Speaking of the sun, the daffodils and tulips are starting to pop up out of the ground, and I can’t wait to see some beautiful blooms in my garden!

3 – WARNING! My website may seem REALLY slow for the next two weeks. Please hang in there with me. I just had an audit, and when you build your site completely on your own, there are going to be some issues that need addressing when you have an audit done a year later. A lot of work will be taking place behind the scenes. Appologizing in advance!

4 – Do you want to see my sweet pea progress? Here you go…

I’ll be sowing snapdragon and black-eyed Susan seeds this weekend. I should have already started them, but life happened. It was a crazy week.

5 – I’ve had several people ask me if I have problems with deer eating my tulips, and the answer is YES! I have, but when I REMEMBER to spray Liquid Fence on them, it seems to really help. I use it when it’s dry, and there’s no wind. You don’t want that stuff to blow back onto you. It’s incredibly stinky!

6 – This week on the blog I joined a group of friends for a Pinterest Challenge. We were given an inspiration photo for everyone to recreate, and each participant put their own spin on the photo. This month, we recreated a spring table vignette.

7 – Did you happen to see the thrift store finds I shared on my Instagram stories last Thursday? I found this set of Pink Vista Ironstone at the Bremerton Vintage Flea Market for $45! Yay me! The only bad news was that the teapot and sugar bowls were missing lids and there were only two saucers. But for this price, I was good.
