Are you already thinking of how you’re going to decorate for Christmas this year? Here are some kitchen decor ideas that are perfect for the Christmas season.
We haven’t even gotten through Halloween, yet so many of us are already thinking about getting started on decorating for Christmas.
For me, I think it’s because the holidays remind me of happier times with family and friends. And with a world full of stress and anxiety, bringing out the jingle bells and boughs of holly a little early this year, just sound like a way to feel better. Who’s with me?
These pictures are from last year’s Christmas, and I’m sure I will be doing things differently this season. But the basics remain the same. Let me share some of my favorite Christmas decor kitchen ideas.

A Christams Wreath Hanging From the Range Hood
Hanging a wreath on the range hood just feels so festive, doesn’t it? And there are so many possibilities…evergreen, berries, boxwood.
Christmas Garland wrapped around the pot rack
Adding some garland around your pot rack will give you that perfect festive touch. This kitchen decor idea definitely says Christmas!
One of the things I want to try this year is to make a gingerbread house. After reading an article from Elle Decor about making your gingerbread creation a part of your holiday decor. I was hooked! I have to admit, I am seriously intimidated by the thought. Have you made one before? Any tips?
Open Shelving for Christmas Kitchen Decor
You can do so much with open shelving in a kitchen. The possibilities are endless! You can create a color story, go with a more neutral color palette, and even show off your vintage Christmas collections. I think I am going to display my ironstone, and use more greenery this year to change it up a bit.
I I love the pop of color this Santa Claus Lane sign adds to the kitchen.
Glass Jars and Cloches for Christmas Decor
One of my favorite ideas when decorating my kitchen for Christmas are glass jars. Don’t know what to fill those jars up with? Here are some ideas…candy canes, cookies, candies, pinecones, ornaments, you get the picture. Cloches can be used to create magical Christmas displays.

Using Creative Containers and Trays
I used an old vintage chicken feeder, filled with rustic ornaments, berries and greens, for the centerpiece. The greenery was both faux and fresh from the yard. You can display greenery, pinecones, fruit, berries and ornaments in doughbowls, trays and so many other unique containers.
