Shiplap and Shells – Weekly Wrap Up

A weekly collection of ideas, tips and inspiration.

What’s Going on in the World of Shiplap and Shells

1 – How was your Thanksgiving? It was quite different for us. Just me, my husband and our two pups, Jax and Lucy. So grateful for us being together, with food on the table, a roof over our head and our health. My heart goes out to all of those in need.

2 – My Christmas decor is nearly done. Finally! And to celebrate success, I will be joining a group of incredible bloggers next week to bring you the “Bloggers Best Holiday Home Tour“. You will see several small group tours each day of the week, and I will be sharing my home on Tuesday. I hope you’ll join us.

3 – We may have a new member of the family around Christmas.

4 – Today is SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY! If you know of a great small business that needs some love, drop me a comment below and I will share them on Facebook and Instagram.

5 – It’s all about shopping for the next few weeks. Many of us will be shopping a lot online this season. In my state of Washington, our retail shopping has been limited to 25% capacity.

Here are my Black Friday-Cyber Monday deals for the next few days. I am updating these a few times each day.

Antique Candle Co. candles are a great holiday gift. I just bought a Christmas bundle, which I am going to split up and give the individual candles to neighbors and the hard workers in my life, like my mail person, and my friend that does my hair. They are offering free shipping on every order right now.

What I’m Working on for Next Week:

I can give it all to you in one word…CHRISTMAS!!! Christmas home decor, DIYs, decorating the greenhouse and gift guides (my favorite). Stay tuned!

I would be completely surprised if you have never seen a blog post written by the talented Courtney of French Country Cottage.

I’ll let you in on a little secret. Courtney’s gorgeous mantel views are what inspired me to create a faux mantel of my own (ok, my husband made it, but I gave a lot of input and supervised). She has so many other posts besides this one, so check them out!

And then there’s a Christmas wreath DIY over on the My 100 Year Old Home blog. Leslie is so talented and I’m actually a REALLY geeky fan of hers. This woman is so talented. Go take a visit, and while you’re at it, make sure you check out her Christmas Dinner with the Nutcracker

I absolutely LOVED this blog post! It was about several friends getting together (safely of course) and creating this most amazing sparkling table under a beautiful night sky. Make sure to visit Barbara of Mantel and Table to see more views. They are incredible!

  1. Happy Thanksgiving! I can’t believe you’ve nearly finished all your Christmas decor – I’m just getting started. Love that picture of the presents at the top. I was watching The Daily Connoisseur last night and she was wrapping presents like that with natural things from the garden too. Love it.

    1. I barely finished. I still have a lot of tweaking to do, but I started weeks ago. This house has been a MESS! I love wrapping the presents with fresh rosemary and other fresh greenery. Happy weekend!

    1. I am always so inspired by your lovely tablescapes. I need to buy A LOT of items. I don’t have much to work with I’m afraid. Hope you’re having a wonderful holiday.
