Hello Fall! It’s still hard for me to believe that we’re here already and that October is right around the corner.
The morning and evening air here is crisp. Days are becoming shorter and shorter. But we are still having the most gorgeous weekend with a high today of 75°F. It should drop down to the high 60s mid-week.
I want to thank you for the kind comments and emails sent to me last week. I’m having a bit of a technical glitch and am unable to reply to comments at the moment. Please know that I will get back to everyone who sent them.
My summer flowers are fading away while asters and sedum autumn joy are getting more colorful and vibrant.
Life starting to get back to normal…at least as normal as can be during this time. I’m looking forward to finding more of a routine now that summer is over.

A Walk Through the Garden
I’ve been lucky enough to spend time in the garden for some much-needed garden therapy. And I took pictures of what’s blooming these days.
The dahlias are the stars of the show and will continue to bloom until the first frost (usually not until November) or until a heavy rain storm blows through.
Check out the biggest dahlia dinner plate I’ve ever seen in my garden.
I’ll be drying more strawflowers this week. I planted seeds from the plants growing in my garden last year and I can’t wait to do the same again next year.
I love these gorgeous gold-colored blooms for fall.
So this is strange…
This hydrangea bush never bloomed with the others this season. As you can probably see, there were about 3 hydrangea heads on this bush that bloomed on time and are drying up.
The rest of the blooms are new, from the last couple of weeks, and new blooms are still budding. Have you ever seen anything like this when it comes to hydrangeas?
Here you can see the difference between the 2 hydrangea bushes. The one on the left is on its way out while the other one is trying to make up for lost time.
I’ll be “fallifying” all the flower containers this week (hopefully). Here are a couple of pics from last year.
A Couple in Need
I have never done this on my blog and I hope I won’t offend anyone by posting this.
A friend of mine is a reverse mortgage broker and her clients are an elderly couple that may be losing their home unless they get some help.
The reason for this is because of a bad lender who never explained to them what a balloon loan really was. On top of this, two heart surgeries and Covid made things worse.
My friend Rebecca has set up a Go Fund Me page for this couple where there was a video with more information about this couple’s situation.
