Thrifting With the Gals & My Favorite Places to Shop
Who loves thrifting as much as I do? Welcome to our new monthly blog series where you’ll find all things thrifting and vintage.
If you’ve been visiting my blog for any length of time, you know how much I love all things vintage!
It seems to work out too, since I live in a 1920 beach house…very vintage, right? Every item I find while thrifting fits into my decor perfectly! And although my husband seems to think that I cannot possibly fit one more thing in this house, I always prove him wrong!

Thrifting with the Gals
Today I am joining four of my very favorite friends for a new blog series where we go THRIFTING WITH THE GALS. We’ll be sharing all of thrifting and antiquing adventures, as well as thrifting tips and tricks.
We all live in different parts of the country, which makes this even more fun! You’ll see the best antique stores, thrift shops, flea markets from not only my state of Washington, but Maine, Vermont, Wisconsin, North Carolina and New Jersey as well.
Every Thursday, we will share all our thrifting fun on our Instagram stories. But wait…it gets better! You can see even more of our favorite places to shop, how we’ve styled our thrifty finds and so much more. We will even be inviting weekly guest hosts to join us.
The Snow Event That Closed Down My Thrifting Fun
I had a plan and was so excited to start this series off right! I was going to go to one of my very favorite thrifting spots for the best vintage finds…the Bremerton Vintage Flea Market. Here they have the BEST vendors, the BEST finds and the BEST prices. And they were closed due to the big snowstorm we had over the weekend.
And even if they weren’t closed, we wouldn’t have been able to get there anyway. Our area is not known for a lot of snow, so when we get any accumulations at all, it’s hard to drive on the roads.
But my husband and I are going to try to get to Bremerton this Saturday. The vintage flea market is open every Saturday from 10-4. Here’s a sneak peak… these are some pictures from their website (all photo credit goes to the Bremerton Vintage Flea Market).
Some of My Favorite Things from the Bremerton Vintage Flea Market
Here are a couple of my favorite fun finds from the flea market…
This whiskey barrel is one of my favorite things out in my garden.
I was in love with this cabinet! But what you may not know, is that we have very little wall space in our house. So it took a lot of thinking…and moving things around. But we finally found a home for this beauty!

If you live in Western Washington, let me know which stores are your favorites for thrifting.
I didn’t list a specific store in Sumner, WA but I do love spending the day shopping there as well. They have several great places to visit. Unfortunately, I haven’t been out there in over a year. That is one of the places I want to share with you soon!
I’ll need to keep Bremerton Flea on my to-do list! A friend of mine told me about some places out toward Leavenworth. She and I were trying to plan a day trip there and then the pandemic stay home orders squashed our plans!
Kim! Thank you so much for the amazing write-up of the Flea! Was definitely busier than I expected, so I didn’t get a chance to visit with you guys as long as i liked before having to run home to let the Pugs out! ? Hope to see you guys again soon! LOVE your blog and thank you again!! 🙂
Thrifting in Oak Harbor, Whidbey Island
WAIF…very nice store and it benefits animals in need with a cat adoption next door
Island Thrift…lots of stuff packed in. Very popular on the island with good prices
