Embrace Summer with Beautiful Garden Blooms

Looking for inspiration for your summer cottage garden? Here are some of my favorite flowers to grow during the summer season.

1

DAISIES - Not only do pollinators love daisies but they’re relatively low-maintenance, making them a great flower for both experienced and beginner gardeners.

BLACK-EYED SUSANS - The ability to thrive in various soil conditions makes black-eyed Susans a great flower to grow for beginners. They also attract pollinators to the garden.

2

CONEFLOWER - Bees and butterflies love these blooms. They can grow in full sun or partial shade, tolerate a variety of soil types and withstand challenging weather conditions.

3

DAYLILIES - These low-maintenance plants are tolerant of both drought and heat, and have the most vibrant colors and intricate petal patterns.

4

GLADIOLUS - Their bulbs are relatively easy to plant and maintain, making gladiolus great for beginning gardeners. They have the most stunning trumpet-shaped blooms.

5

HYDRANGEAS - These hardy plants are relatively easy to grow and require moderate maintenance. Hydrangeas also have a long blooming season.

6

SUNFLOWERS - Beneficial pollinators like bees and butterflies are attracted to sunflowers. They’re relatively easy to grow, making them a great choice for gardeners of all levels.

7

DAHLIAS -  From delicate pompons to large dinner-plate blooms, there’s a dahlia variety for everyone. They attract bees and butterflies and make gorgeous cut flowers.
