Wishing you all a happy and safe Sunday.

And for those of you who are experiencing your fair share of snow and ice, I hope you’re able to stay warm and cozy inside.

It should be a nice and dry day today so I’m looking forward to spending it outdoors in the garden.

It was a busy week but also a lot of fun.

• There was a day trip to Oregon with a friend.
• I’ve been in the greenhouse sowing seeds and starting geranium plants from cuttings.
• The tile went up in the boat.
• I created a little coffee bar in my kitchen.
• Forsythia branches were cut to force bloom in the house.

An Oregon Day Trip

I spent the day in Willamette Valley, Oregon with a friend. Besides seeing these olive trees at the nursery, you can see everything else we did that day HERE.

Boat Renovation Update

We are now finished with the tile work.

Some people have asked if the tile is safe for a boat. I learned that we needed to use a waterproof tile adhesive to set the tile and not the traditional thin-set.

Using a latex grout will help with flexibility.

Setting Up a Coffee Bar

We have the quirkiest home. It was built in 1920 and doesn’t have much space.

The pantry is just to the left of this space so we thought we could get away with setting up the espresso maker here to give us more space on the kitchen counter.

Bringing in the Forsythia Branches

It’s that time again when I go out in the yard and cut forsythia branches to take in the house to force bloom. They should be blooming soon.

Here are forsythias from my friend’s house. She forced hers a few weeks ago.

Garden Inspiration for the Week

The picture above was taken the first week of September of 2020 and is one of the most shared and liked pictures of my garden.

For this week’s inspirational garden post, I chose An Enchanted Evening Stroll Through the Garden which was posted in September of 2020. It was the most beautiful summer evening and the sunset skies were even more dramatic due to the fires in California that year.
