Saltwater Sounds Weekly: It’s Officially the Holiday Season
Welcome to Saltwater Sounds, a collection of ideas, tips, and inspiration. This is where I share all that’s been happening in the world of Shiplap and Shells, what’s to come and the inspiration I have found from other bloggers around the web.
This and That…
We’ve made it! Christmas and the winter season holidays are upon us.
The debate over whether to decorate for Christmas before or after Thanksgiving is finally over.
We can once again unite now that the holiday season is officially here.
By the way…there are 28 days left until Christmas.
Friendsgiving on Thanksgiving Day
Most of you are still enjoying your long holiday weekend. Whether you’ve shared time with family or friends, I hope you’ve made some wonderful memories along the way.
We had a wonderful day with very good friends who are pretty much our family.
Our good friend hosts this holiday every year and the food was amazing! The ambiance was wonderful, and the company was even better.

Kim, I love the picture of your greenhouse and yard in the snow. Just magical. I look forward to seeing your holiday shopping ideas as I haven’t even begun my Christmas shopping. Thank you for sharing my blog post on Getting Back to Basics. I always need to remind myself to slow down and enjoy life. Your Thanksgiving with your dear friends looks amazing~the setting, the food, that kitchen! So glad you had a wonderful holiday. The last of the house guests just left so I can start my holiday decorating! Yay! Thanks for sharing all the great tips too. I always learn so much from your Sunday post.

Hi! Lots of photo loves in this post. Your “winter” garden is so pretty – fresh blanket of snow, perfect lighting and a nutcracker tucked into a cozy little nook. I have enjoyed your little Christmas tree in a basket over and over. I have admired so many styles, sizes and varieties of trees over the years, but this one is a favorite! It just reaches right in and grabs my heart. Another grab my heart – I just want to plop right down with your adorable dog and spend an afternoon having hot cocoa and patting him. Maybe even read a book and fall asleep with him on my lap. Heaven. Here’s to a happy day, every day through the holidays!
Kim,
I’m so glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We also spent our day with good friends. Thanks for sharing my post. You are the best.
Sounds like you had a wonderful Weekend Kime! I’m glad you enjoyed your Thahksgiving and that turkey looks delish!
