5 Easy Ways to Refresh Your Bedroom for the Fall Season
Goodbye summer and hello fall! It’s time to bring on the warmth and coziness of the fall season. I’ll show you 5 ways to refresh your bedroom for fall.
It’s the time of year when the light and bright summer decor gets tucked away and everything fall comes out. Yes, it is now officially autumn, and I have transitioned accordingly. The goal of course is to create a warm and cozy seasonal feel.
This first “phase” is more of a transitional effort. Colors tend to change from the bright beachy colors in our home to more of a neutral palette. A few pumpkins are added to the mix, and the candles come out in full force.

The second phase comes when the weather really gets cool and crisp. The big chunky throws come out, fall branches are displayed and I really get crazy with the pumpkins! So just wait another month to see how my bedroom takes on a completely different personality.
5 WAYS TO REFRESH YOUR BEDROOM FOR FALL
1. Refresh Your Bedding
Summer was all about light and white for this room. Now that it’s fall, I’ve changed out my pillow shams and quilt for warmer tones. Once it gets colder, I’ll add a chunky throw to the bed as well.

2. Add Flowers, Lots of Flowers
You don’t have to spend a lot of money when you are adding fall decor to a room. Flowers can be an inexpensive way to refresh your bedroom.
Hydrangeas
I have a tendency to go a little overboard when it comes to dried hydrangeas. There are 3 different varieties in this room. They are basically the decor I use to add color to my oh-so-neutral palette.
Dried and Faux Flowers
Fall is the time when you start seeing fewer and fewer blooms in the garden. And let me tell you, it is very hard for me. I actually grieve for my fresh cut flowers until they come back again in the spring. So now is a great time to bring in some dried and faux flowers for interest.

3. Add Pumpkins
Seriously, how can you refresh your bedroom for fall without some fabulous pumpkins? I use faux pumpkins for two reasons. First, they last a heck of a lot longer indoors and you can reuse them year after year. And secondly, fresh pumpkins aren’t even available here until the first of October. That’s actually a really good reason.

4. Bring in the Rustic Vintage Charm
Bringing in vintage pieces such as this rusty chicken feeder, an old wooden box, or a worn picnic basket, helps to add charming detail and creates a gorgeous fall feel.
5. Bring on Fall with Candles
One of my very favorite things for fall is scented candles in the bedroom. They smell so amazing, no matter what scent you choose (I’m a pumpkin and vanilla girl), and let’s not forget the romantic ambiance.
Fall is my favorite season to decorate for, not only because I love the cozy and warm feel that autumn time brings, but because it’s so easy.
I hope you picked up some tips with my 5 ways to refresh your bedroom for fall. I’d love to hear from you. Leave me a comment.
