Forsythia Update
Here are pictures of the forsythia branches when I first cut them and then one week later.

A Garden-Inspired Trip to Costco
I found all kinds of goodies at Costco last week.
Although I’m not a huge fan of heather when it’s not blooming, I know I need to bring some blooms to the winter garden.
I bought 5 heather and a couple of hellebores to plant in the garden spots that are looking bare and boring. The sad part for me is that hellebores have the most gorgeous blooms right now but they can only be planted in the shade and I don’t have much of that in the front yard.
If I had my way, I’d plant them everywhere.
Not the best picture here but I bought some primroses for containers as well. The bright colors scream “hurry up spring”!
Feeding the Hummingbirds
The hummingbirds are eating so much from this feeder right now. This is right outside our kitchen window so we get to see the daily activity.
The hummingbirds actually fight over the food and there are mid-air battles which are fascinating to watch.
The Next Indoor Project
I painted the laundry room from a sage green last year to white.
I really liked how light it looked. But there was something definitely missing. It felt very stark.
So I have decided to paint the trim a griege. I had no idea that there was actually a word for gray and beige mixed together.
I should be finished today so stay tuned for the reveal next week.

This was when the garden was in its prime.

Kim, your forsythia reminds me of my childhood in Connecticut as it was one of my Mom’s favorite spring flowers. I love Anne Hathaway’s home…lovely but so normal too. I would have expected some great mansion somewhere. How refreshing. Thank you for the Self-Care: Hands shout-out. Surprisingly, I’ve been exercising my hands this week and it seems to be working! Can’t wait to see your final boat renovation~how cool. I tried growing Cosmos from seed last year to no avail. I need to back and read your post. And I stopped watching the SuperBowl a few years ago~all that nonsense about kneeling during the National Anthem. I guess I’m guilty of being patriotic. Happy Sunday!
