Saltwater Sounds Weekly Wrap-up
Random This & That
It almost felt like summer in the Seattle area this last week. We had temperatures in the high 70s and the sun felt so good!
But that’s over now. I am going to look at this as the glass being half full. My garden is REALLY needing some rain. Everything needs water here, and we really aren’t used to April being so dry (but deep down inside I am missing that sun).
In the Garden: I am still in the process of hardening off the seedlings and geraniums that have been in the greenhouse for so long. I have them close to the front porch so if it really rains heavily I can rescue them and put them undercover. Read my blog post on the hardening-off process here.
This isn’t the greatest picture, but here I am, with my trusted helpers, Jax and Lucy. I had another gardening helper with me that morning and we were able to split all the dahlia tuber clumps in 4 hours. I’ll be sharing my blog post on splitting dahlias next week, but I have another post with other information on growing dahlias here.
Gardening to-do list for next week:
- transplanting seedlings and geraniums
- finish mulching the back and side yards
- finish dividing perennials
- planting annuals, new perennials, and summer bulbs

I went on a fun shopping trip for vintage and found this fun cabinet with copper top for the living room. Now that I’ve brought this home, I am in a refresh mood and can’t wait to show you what I end up doing to the living room. Hint: we sold the leather couch.
