Adding Patriotic Touches to the Greenhouse for the 4th of July
Do you decorate your outdoor spaces for Independence Day? Whether it’s a porch, a garden shed, or a greenhouse, it’s always fun to add some patriotic touches for the 4th of July holiday and I’ll show you some ideas to make everything festive and fabulous.
We don’t really have a porch on our house. We have more of a deck with stairs, which is why I am always decorating my greenhouse for the seasons and the holiday. And the 4th of July is no exception.

When it came to decorating the greenhouse with patriotic decor for the 4th of July holiday, I have to admit I don’t get very creative. I tend to use the same things over and over again. But I have made a commitment to look for some great deals on patriotic decor after the holiday that I can use for next year.
EASEL CHALKBOARDS
This chalkboard was found at a thrift store. We found it on a boat trip up in Victoria, B.C. Canada.
There’s good news and bad news. The good news is that I’m using it here to greet all the guests we have coming in the morning. The bad news…it’s too small to fit anywhere in the house so it tends to hang out in the garage except for the 4th of July.
And do you know what is REALLY funny? The fact that I NEVER clean off the chalk. The same message has greeted people for years, except last year when no one could come to visit because we were basically shut down due to Covid-19.
I can’t even tell you where we found this Radio Flyer tricycle. It’s in the best condition. Probably because I only use it for this holiday and Christmas. Isn’t she cute?
I did get a new flag banner a couple of years ago.
SHOP AMERICAN FLAG BANNERS
This heart wreath was found at Pier 1 before they closed down their stores. All I know is that I got 50% off!
SHOP WREATHS
These patriotic sunflowers are the perfect touch for the front of the greenhouse. We found them a few years ago at the Great Junk Hunt in Puyallup, WA.
Add a few pinwheels and American flags and you are good to go!

The 4th of July is my favorite day of the year. We have such a great time celebrating the birth of our nation and just happen to live on the road where our community parade goes down. Anyone who wants to participate is in the parade…children, vintage cars, floats, A LOT of tractors. You get the idea.
A band plays classic 4th of July songs next door. Our friends bring their chairs, grab some breakfast and a mimosa or two on the deck, and watch the parade. It’s an amazing day!
I hope you liked the patriotic touches I used to decorate the greenhouse for the 4th of July. Leave a comment and let me know what your favorite way to decorate for the holiday is.
Happy 4th of July to all my American friends. Have a great day!!!
