Do you love antiquing, thrifting, and all things vintage? If so, you’ve come to the right place! Today I’ll be sharing some inspired vintage shops in my area and the vintage finds I took home with me.
Thrifting with the Gals
I’m joining my friends for another THRIFTING WITH THE GALS blog post. Once a month we share all of our vintage thrifting and antiquing adventures, as well as thrifting tips and tricks. But wait, there’s more! Every Wednesday, we will share all our thrifting fun on our Instagram stories.
We all live in different parts of the country, which makes this even more fun! You’ll see the best antique stores, thrift shops, and flea markets from not only my state of Washington but Maine, Vermont, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and New Jersey as well.
Each month we will also be joined by some special guests who will be thrifting along with us from their states as well. Today we are joined by Laurie at Vin Yet Etc.

Inspired Vintage Shops
Today I’m sharing two shops that I visited this past month. They may not be new to you… I have shared them several times before. But the thing I love about them is that each time I’m there, they look completely different because they get so many new and unique things ALL THE TIME!
DETAILS HOME AND GARDEN – POULSBO, WA.
I’ve shared Details Home and Garden with you many times before but I have to tell you, I can’t get enough of this place! Every time I come to visit, Tray has so many new pieces. And they are so unique. I took several vintage goodies home with me this month which I’ll share at the end.
FURNITURE PIECES
There are all kinds of cabinets and tables in this store. It’s hard to decide which one you want to take home.
This copper top vintage cabinet and cubby pictured above caught my eye right away! I stood there trying to create a space in my home for them. The issue with our small 1,600 sq ft house is that there is very little wall space available.
Here’s another chippy vintage piece. I love all the quirkiness of the various sizes of drawers. And who doesn’t love this color when you live in a beach house? Am I right?
GARDEN-INSPIRED VINTAGE SPRING HOME DECOR
This is one of the few shops where they not only sell vintage items, but flowers and plants as well. And there are a variety of containers that are offered here as well.
Whether it’s a galvanized tub, basket, or rustic container, there are so many plant container options to choose from.
SALTWATER VINTAGE – POULSBO, WA.
Saltwater Vintage (Instagram account @junkingbythesea) is located directly behind Details Home and Garden. How convenient is that? There are so many fun things to check out.
Plenty of garden inspiration here. This is actually a picture of the latest Instagram post with all their latest vintage pieces available.
Their cabinets and hutches are so beautiful! And they have quite a few to choose from. Perfect for your Ironstone collection!
You can always find the perfect chair or dresser.
When I was there just a couple of weeks ago they had not only one, but two pews for sale.
What I Took Home with Me
I spent a lot of money this month! But when you see what I got, I think you will agree that it was well worth it.
I bought two different Ironstone pieces, seen in both the above and below pictures. The scalloped features are what really caught my eye.
YES! I bought the copper top buffet/cabinet and it changed my entire room. Totally in love.
I took home this cream vintage mirror.
And the mirror in this picture. I have a thing for mirrors if you haven’t already noticed.
Wasn’t that fun?
Are you ready for more thrifting fun? Hop on over to my friend Rachel at The Ponds Farmhouse where she will show you vintage bedroom decor ideas.

What a wonderful message, Michelle. Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoy my blog. Thank you for following along.
I was happy to discover you through this blog hop! I live in Tri-Cities, Wa which is about 4-5 hours from Seattle! Loved This post and your great finds!
Tania
Hi Tania! I’m so glad you found me through Thrifting with the Gals. I used to live in Coeur d’ Alene, ID, and Spokane when I was younger and we used to take trips to the Tri-Cities when my dad had to go there on business. I was too young to remember which city but there was a Holiday Inn with a HUGE indoor swimming pool that my brother and I swam in all day. It was so fun. Nice to meet you!
Kim, this looks like such a cute little shop, I need to hunt and see if there a place like that around here!
Yes you do. Then I can visit them when I come to see you. Go do your homework!
Kim,
Love your finds! I wish we had stores like this in Phoenix…I suppose they may exist but I obviously need to go exploring.
Thanks for sharing. I get to live vicariously through you!
Thank you, Mary. I do love our shops even though they aren’t true thrift shops like the other gals get to go to. But I’m ok with that.
I’m coming to visit and I’m bringing my trailer! There’s so much I want to bring home with me in your shops! Those cubbies!
I feel the same way about your shops Kristin! But I won’t stop you. Come up for a visit, we will have so much fun!
Oh my Kim that mirror has stolen my heart! I mean all of your finds are gorgeous but I have a real thing for mirrors too! It was so fun thrifting with you, thank you for having me! xo
I really have a thing for vintage mirrors too Laurie! It is actually hilarious that I don’t have any mirrors that are not scratched up where you can see yourself other than the ones in the bathroom! So fun to have you join us this week.
Wow, I would spend a fortune in those places. I saw many things I wanted in each photo. Love the new cabinet in your living room. And all the other treasures too. I think I need more mirrors. Might help reflect more light around in our dark little farmhouse. Thanks for sharing what you got!
Thank you so much, Cindy! The mirror really does help. They have a lot of fabulous things, that’s for sure.
kim
So many great things in the shops. I’d be crazy wanting everything I see.
They are so much fun and there’s always new stuff every time I go in. It’s tough not to spend money whenever I go.
Kim that buffet is amazing. I just love it. You have the most beautiful shops around you too!
Thank you, Ann! We are just loving it too. We do have beautiful shops, they are just at full price! But you gotta do what you gotta do!
