Saltwater Sounds Weekly: And So It Begins
Welcome to Saltwater Sounds, a collection of ideas, tips, and inspiration. This is where I share all that’s been happening in the world of Shiplap and Shells, what’s to come, and the inspiration I‘ve found from other bloggers around the web.
This and That…
We are just about done with January, and I’m ok with that.
I will say that this month was great for planning my garden, creating a yearly editorial calendar for the blog, and working on goals. So I’m grateful for the time I had to nest and slow down a bit.
I am so ready for flowers in my garden again.
I went to Metropolitan Market the other day for a few things and saw all of these flowers for sale. It warmed my heart.
They were much more expensive than Trader Joe’s, located another half hour away so I only got some greens but just enjoying the view for a few minutes changed my entire mood.
Here are some pics that will hopefully change your mood too.
My sweet peas have been sown in the greenhouse and I can’t wait to share the progress next week. They always germinate so quickly so we should see something soon.
Snapdragons are next.
I am working on starting new geraniums from my plants that are overwintering in the greenhouse as well. And so the gardening season officially begins!
On a Personal Note
So after 3 weeks of waiting, I have finally gotten an official date for my knee replacement surgery. I go in on February 9th.
I am so happy to finally be having this surgery. Working in the garden was really hard last year which is why I wasn’t able to be out there much.
I’ll be getting the other knee replacement hopefully closer to the end of the year.
