Saltwater Sounds Weekly: Everything’s Coming Up Tulips
Welcome to Saltwater Sounds, a collection of ideas, tips, and inspiration. This is where I share everything happening in the world of Shiplap and Shells, what’s to come, and the inspiration I’ve found from other bloggers around the web.
This and That…
Hello! I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!
We got so much done in the garden this past week, and I couldn’t be happier to be back at it, getting my hands dirty again. I’ll share more about the gardening projects we worked on later in the post.
As you can see from the picture above, the tulips in the raised beds are blooming and look fabulous!

This is always my favorite part of spring… when the tulips in the raised beds bloom. I already have neighbors and friends coming to cut flowers. How fun is that?
Around the Garden and Greenhouse
I had to show you just one more tulip picture.
We also got the dahlia tubers dug up and split. I’ll be honest, it’s my least favorite thing to do, but it’s definitely worth it.
I missed my sweet girl Lucy this year. She always loved laying on the tarp while I divided the tubers.
The fish compost is about two-thirds done, so hopefully, we can get the rest spread next week.
Our organic fish compost is from Oly Mountain Fish Compost and is nearly odorless. We spread it in the garden beds every April.
