Random This & That
It was the most beautiful week here in the Pacific Northwest (PNW). Really beautiful! And of course, I took lots of pictures that I’ll be sharing with you in the next couple of weeks. This weekend is looking like rain and wind. I know a lot of people out there would LOVE to have some rain so I’m hoping we can send it their way.
The temps were actually in the 80s for a couple of days. I really tried to take advantage of the amazing weather and just decided to relax and take a break from things.
I can’t wait to take you along on some fun boating adventures next week. I’m hoping to share some beautiful views, kayak rides, and vintage shopping! I am so excited for SUMMER! Bring it on!
Did you see the post I shared last fall during one of our boating adventures? You can read it HERE
I got some new summer bedding from Hallstrom Home. I love my new blue and white striped blanket. So many textures here, including a waffle weave and linen shams. I couldn’t be happier. Taking advantage of the Parachute Memorial Day sale last weekend, we bought another set of linen sheets for our bed and another for our guest room refresh that I’ll be working on next month.
In the Garden
This is such a fun time for me to watch the progress of each perennial and seedling. You have NO IDEA how many pictures I take on my daily garden walk. I just never want to miss a thing!
I can’t tell you how much joy the garden brings me. And the perfectionist part of me is actually starting to let go of the irritating weeds that never stop growing and the mole holes that I find every day in my yard.
I am focusing more on the beauty of the garden and not the projects that I don’t ever seem to have time for. After spending most of the summer preparing for the magazine shoot, I made a deal with myself that I would work less and enjoy more. Wish me luck!

How beautiful is your garden on that water!!!! GAH I swoon every time I stop by. I just love how ti all looks. You must truly enjoy living there and spending time on the water in addition to your gardens. Thank you so much for featuring me this week with the garden tour! I’m so thrilled to enjoy these with you – I love chatting all things about the garden! xo
Kim, thank you so much for the beautiful feature. I always enjoy your Saturday weekly wrap-ups so much!
I really enjoyed so many of the small town photos you shared on your “Exploring The Puget Sound By Boat” post. I grew up in the area, but have never visited most of these towns.
I always love seeing your garden and your home. It’s just stunning. So jealous of the weather you’re having but then fairs, fair – I had summer while you were battling the cold. Have a lovely week.
Thanks so much for sharing my tablescape! I sure hope you do take more time to relax and enjoy the beauty around you…and some boating time and not work quite so hard!
I don’t blame you for relaxing and enjoying the weather. We all deserve a rest break! I love your new bedding. Your bedroom is so pretty. Looking forward to see all the pretty in your garden this summer! Thanks for sharing all these good things!
Another wonderful week in the PNW! You were just a bit cooler then we were – I would have sold my soul to sit on your deck and feel the breeze off the water. But fortunately I didn’t get the opportunity! I’d be regretting it today with our 60 degrees and cloudy! 🙂 Love your beautiful garden and all the fun things you find for us! Thanks so much, and hope your weekend’s been great!
You are so sweet friend, thank you so much for the feature. I’m so excited to watch your garden grow this summer and what gorgeous blue sky and view!
