Random This & That

It was the most beautiful week here in the Pacific Northwest (PNW). Really beautiful! And of course, I took lots of pictures that I’ll be sharing with you in the next couple of weeks. This weekend is looking like rain and wind. I know a lot of people out there would LOVE to have some rain so I’m hoping we can send it their way.

The temps were actually in the 80s for a couple of days. I really tried to take advantage of the amazing weather and just decided to relax and take a break from things.

I can’t wait to take you along on some fun boating adventures next week. I’m hoping to share some beautiful views, kayak rides, and vintage shopping! I am so excited for SUMMER! Bring it on!

Did you see the post I shared last fall during one of our boating adventures? You can read it HERE

I got some new summer bedding from Hallstrom Home. I love my new blue and white striped blanket. So many textures here, including a waffle weave and linen shams. I couldn’t be happier. Taking advantage of the Parachute Memorial Day sale last weekend, we bought another set of linen sheets for our bed and another for our guest room refresh that I’ll be working on next month.

In the Garden

This is such a fun time for me to watch the progress of each perennial and seedling. You have NO IDEA how many pictures I take on my daily garden walk. I just never want to miss a thing!

I can’t tell you how much joy the garden brings me. And the perfectionist part of me is actually starting to let go of the irritating weeds that never stop growing and the mole holes that I find every day in my yard.

I am focusing more on the beauty of the garden and not the projects that I don’t ever seem to have time for. After spending most of the summer preparing for the magazine shoot, I made a deal with myself that I would work less and enjoy more. Wish me luck!

Have you joined my Gardening Tips & Tricks group on Facebook? If you have, I would love for you to post some of your garden pictures so we can see what’s happening where you live!
