Simply Stunning Outdoor Summer Table Décor Ideas

Glass Bottle Centerpiece Summer Table & Pinterest Challenge
The Inspiration
Our inspiration photo this month comes from Karen at Sanctuary Home Decor. Karen creates the most beautiful tablescapes. I am always inspired when I visit her blog.
The pink and white peonies Karen cut from her yard got me so excited about this Pinterest challenge. I mean, really…who wouldn’t be inspired by such beauty?
Where are all the Peonies?
I wanted to use peonies for my summer tablescape. The only problem was that the peony bushes in my garden are only a few years old and still don’t produce many blooms in the season.
I wasn’t worried, though. A couple of weeks earlier, Trader Joe’s had the most beautiful peonies, so my plan was to take the 45-minute drive to pick some up for my table.
Except that they didn’t have any more. Now to Plan B.
I decided to use the pictures from an evening summer tablescape I had created on the deck last summer since I used glass bottles with flowers for my centerpiece.
Using Dahlias to Recreate the Outdoor Summer Tablescape
I filled the glass bottles with dahlias from the garden and lined them down the center of the outdoor teak table for my centerpiece. My garden will look like this again in mid-July. I can’t wait!
This rattan glass vase holder was perfect for adding height to the table.
Candles always add such a romantic feel to a table. I used tea candles with glass holders, which complemented the glass jars.
The bistro lights in the garden were the perfect touch.

Can you think of a better location for a late-evening summer dinner? Overlooking our bay in Puget Sound and watching the sunset was magical. I would rather eat here than at any restaurant.

Kim, I am having such dahlia envy right now! I’m really itching to grow some pretty flowers like yours, but I’m worried they won’t do well in our harsh, muggy climate. Your table is so breathtakingly beautiful with that view and those dainty flowers! Pinned!

Thank you Carol. I would like to say that we rarely have blazing heat, and that’s why we live for the summers up here. But with that said we are having a heatwave with possible 100 degree temps from Sat-Mon. So we’ll see how the garden does. We’re not used to thise temps, especially that many days in a row.
