This and That…

How’s your weekend? I hope you are having the best time no matter what you are doing.

I have to tell you, I am so grateful to have cooler weather in our Seattle area. Sadly, the air has been filling up with wildfire smoke for the last few days.

As you are reading this, I am on our boat, Wildflower with my hubby and the boys (Jax and Ollie for those of you who don’t know who the boys are).

More about our trip in a moment. First, let me show you the fun I’ve been having drying my cut flowers.

harvested yarrow

I LOVE drying summer flowers every year.

And it’s so easy!

This is the first year I’ve grown yarrow and I will grow it again…I love it. And it will make the best bouquet of dried flowers.

I had a friend helping me cut flowers and hang them upside down in my pantry to dry.

bachelors buttons

Someone told me that bachelor’s button could be dried. I tried it and they all died. Lesson learned.

Here are my pretty flowers drying. Our pantry is the perfect place to dry flowers because it’s cool, dry, and dark.
