5 Tablescapes for the Fall Season Using Natural Elements

Creating a tablescape during the fall season can be so much fun. There are many inspiring ways to bring the natural elements of the outdoors inside for your family and guests to enjoy.

Depending on where you live, you may still have an abundance of fresh flowers, fruits, and pumpkins. If not, you still have a faux option that can look just as fabulous. I tend to use a combination of both, and most of the time it’s hard to tell the difference.

Here are 5 of my favorite fall tablescapes using natural elements I found in the garden (or a faux version).

Creating a Fabulous Fall Tablescape Using Fruit and Flowers

This tablescape was inspired by the transition from summer to fall. Branches from my pear tree were mixed in with green apples and pears harvested from our fruit trees, but I wanted a bright pop of red so I brought in faux red apples.

Pinecones and candlelight add interest to this fall table, but a galvanized bucket of fresh dahlias from the garden is the perfect final touch.

Warm Up Your Fall Table with Pumpkins and Mums

Do you know the best part about this fall tablescape? I grew the pumpkins in my own garden!

Mums with white and green pumpkins are the main natural elements for this centerpiece. If I was going to actually have a meal at this table, I would definitely scale back the size of the pumpkins.

Terra cotta pots with mini pumpkins give this table a garden-inspired feel. The copper mugs give the table more warmth and an extra splash of color.

Fresh and Dried Flowers with Herbs

It was shocking to see how well my Queen Lime Red zinnias complemented the dry hydrangeas from my garden. I used a vintage chicken feeder to style the flowers. Pinecones and candles were also added to my tablescape.

The herb silverware pouches are such a pretty touch, especially when the fresh herbs are displayed with them and tied with raffia.

Dough Bowl Filled with Natural Elements

Using a dough bowl is always the easiest way to make a beautiful tablescape no matter what the season.

For this fall table, I displayed brilliant pink hydrangeas, faux green apples, and pinecones in the dough bowl surrounded by white pumpkins and candles.

White Pumpkins and Clementines with Bay Leaf Garland

This is the only table I actually added the color orange for fall, but with clementines, not pumpkins.

This faux bay leaf garland was bought at Pottery Barn over 10 years ago and is still going strong. It’s a great foundation for pumpkins, clementines, and pinecones.
