This and That
With July almost here, we’ve been doing all the summer things lately.
Dinner with friends on the deck, daily walks in the garden, and decorating for the 4th of July! It feels good. I can say that because our outdoor temperatures are still in the low seventies. But that will change soon.
Are my friends in the US ready for Independence Day? Do you have any traditions for the 4th of July? What are your plans for the upcoming holiday?
It’s a pretty big deal around here on July 4th.
We always have a breakfast get-together to watch the morning parade going down our street. It’s my favorite day of the year, and I always look forward to celebrating with my friends.
There’s even a band that plays in the driveway next door! What more could you want?

These snapdragons came back from last year.
The purple sweet peas were the first to bloom a few weeks ago, but now the other colors are catching up.
Here are the last of the peonies. I was surprised that I didn’t get as many blooms this year.
I’m loving the hydrangeas that are finally blooming!
The loosestrife is in full bloom. These can be pretty invasive, at least in my garden, but since they’re yellow and pop the garden bed, I’m ok with it.
I ran out of time this week, but I will share the cut flower garden next week. It’s looking amazing!
