Saltwater Sounds: Leftovers, Shopping, and Decorating

Welcome to Saltwater Sounds, a collection of ideas, tips, and inspiration. Here, I share everything happening in the world of Shiplap and Shells, what’s to come, and the inspiration I’ve found from other bloggers around the web.

This and That

Happy holiday weekend to my American friends! How was your Thanksgiving?

Ours was more of a Friendsgiving and was absolutely wonderful. The table was set beautifully, and the food was even better.

We even got to take home a Thanksgiving to-go bag, which was unexpected and so yummy!

Everyone brought branches from their yards. I was in charge of the magnolias.

There were plenty of snacks and leftovers, including turkey noodle soup, scones, and mimosas.

bedroom decorated for Christmas with Ollie napping on pillow

I added a few holiday touches to our bedroom last week. When I went to take pictures of the room, Ollie was taking a nap. He was so cute.

I couldn’t move him when he looked so sweet, so I took all the pictures with him in it.

coastal Christmas tree

I’ve always wanted to have a coastal Christmas. Other than decorating a mini tree one year, I have never followed through.

My friend decorated her beach home with a coastal theme. And she has inspired me to try it myself for Christmas.

She made all her ornaments herself.
