I am seriously pinching myself! Did you know that the reason I first started an Instagram account, and then a blog, was to be featured in a national magazine someday?
Yes, that was the only reason! And here is my first feature. So exciting!

Remembering the Exact Moment
I remember the day that I was contacted by someone at Cottages & Bungalows Magazine, asking if I’d like my home to be featured in the fall issue of their magazine.
Let’s just say I was glad that they couldn’t see the reaction on my face, or the tears streaming down my cheeks. I literally couldn’t breathe.
After re-reading the message from Cottages & Bungalows about 16 or 17 times, I tried to compose myself. I was sitting in that chair in the picture above with my feet up, being waited on by my husband.
I had just had foot surgery the week before and was not going to be mobile and walking by the time of the photo shoot.
But a little foot surgery was not going to stop me! If it wasn’t for my incredible husband and incredible friends, I don’t know if I would have been able to do it. But it all came together and here we are!

A million years ago, well, 30 or so, I dreamed of having my garden featured in Sunset or Better Homes and Gardens but didn’t pursue it.
