This and That

How did “springing forward” work for you this morning?

After my trip to Florida last week, I’m still on East Coast time, so it didn’t affect me too much. I’ve always been a night owl and not a morning person, so I decided to keep up with the time change as long as possible. I have been loving the extra time I get to myself in the morning.

Daylight Saving Time always gets me excited for the longer days ahead. Who is as excited as I am that spring is just over a week away?

Epcot International flower and garden festival

As you know, I was in Orlando last week with some blogging buddies of mine.

I visited Disney World for the first time. It was a lot of walking for one day. We started at the Magic Kingdom for a few of my favorite rides, including The Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Next, we made our way over to Epcot. And would you believe that the International Flower and Garden Festival had just started? Talk about good timing!

Epcot International flower and garden festival with Disney character topiaries

The Flower and Garden Festival takes place from February 28 to May 27, where you’ll enjoy gorgeous gardens, including a butterfly garden, topiary displays, and live entertainment.

I’m sure you can imagine just how much fun I had seeing all the creative ways these flowers were used.

I enjoyed seeing the gorgeous flower butterflies. Check out the succulent butterfly pictured above right. The pictures do not do these displays justice. The weather did not cooperate with my picture-taking.

Journey of Water attraction with Moana

Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, is a new attraction at Epcot. It’s an outdoor exploration trail where water comes to life.

I’ll be showing you the garden and greenhouse more next week. The weather will turn towards the end of next week, and we should have temperatures in the 60s!
