Simple Spring Home Tour

I always love decorating for spring! It’s when I pull out all the bright pops of color again! Thank you for being here for a simple Spring Home Tour. You’ll see how I refreshed a few things around the house and brought in some flower blooms.

Spring is when the house comes alive again with color and beautiful blooms. Come take a tour to see what I’ve done to bring in the new season.

Cottage kitchen with a dough bowl full of lemons on the island.

Spring decorating is so easy, in my opinion, especially in the kitchen. Colorful fruit is always an easy way to brighten up the room, with my favorite being lemons!

You can put them in a bowl, a cloche, or a dough bowl. No matter where you put them, they will surely liven things up!

This spring has been more of a challenge, with the fact that we don’t go shopping very often anymore. I usually enjoy fresh lemons in my dough bowl, but I have compromised with the faux version because I didn’t have enough to fill the bowl.

So, I took some moss decorative balls from another room to help fill it up. I also added some faux eucalyptus to complete the look.

Who doesn’t love a bunch of gorgeous spring tulips in your home? This picture was taken right after I had made a trip to Trader Joe’s, just before we were ordered to stay home. It seems so long ago.

Here’s the Easter tablescape I created this year. Looks can be deceiving, there were only two of us this year for dinner.

I wanted to have a bright and colorful table and found these placemats and plates at the Pioneer Woman. They were perfect for my simple Easter tablescape this year.

Freshening up the living room starts with changing out the more neutral-colored pillows, with more brights, like yellows and turquoise.

Flowers are always big around here, no matter the season.

Faux forsythia looks just as pretty as fresh.

It’s much harder to find fresh flowers early in the spring season. I have buckets of faux flowers that look great when I’m not able to get to the store to buy blooms. Here are some forsythia faux blooms.

Lavender goes with any spring vignette.

I can’t write a blog post about spring home decor without having a picture of one of my favorite flowers, lilacs. This picture is from last year because our lilacs in the garden are just starting to bloom.

I’m a little obsessed with decorative pillows! I change the colors a couple of times throughout the spring season.

I changed out my heavy blankets for lighter bedding and added flowers to the room when switching over to spring. I love freshening up my bedroom for spring.
